Amar's family begins to think about Ara who is growing up and needs the love and care of a mother. They suggest that Amar remarry. Amar is eventually forced to break his promise and marries Maria, a girl chosen by his parents. He does this for Ara's sake. However, Ara actually disagrees because she does not want to share her father's affection with someone else. Maria now realizes that Ara has become her 'enemy'. But she tries her best to win Ara's heart. After 4 months of marriage, Amar dies. Ara's sorrow is struck once again. Now she is left with her stepmother. However, Ara begins to be touched seeing Maria grieve over her father's death. But Amar's family asks for permission to take care of Ara. Ara is hurt because Maria agrees to place her under the care of her grandparents. Ara feels that Maria truly hates her.
